What JEONG means

Jeong (정) is a Korean word with no perfect translation. It describes a deep sense of warmth, attachment and quiet loyalty that grows over time. Between people, between a guest and a place, between a community and its rituals. Jeong is what remains after the meal is over. The feeling that you have been genuinely cared for, that you belong, even if only for one evening.

In JEONG WORLD, this idea becomes the heart of a culinary project. It is not only about serving beautiful plates, but about creating a subtle emotional bond between Korean culinary heritage and European cultural life. Beginning in Vienna...

A Korean fine dining encounter

JEONG WORLD curates intimate fine dining experiences with leading Korean chefs. Some known from Michelin-starred kitchens and contemporary culinary stages. Each edition brings Korean cuisine to the table in a restrained, modern language.

Culture, not just cuisine

JEONG WORLD is conceived as more than a dinner series. Each evening is a composed experience in which food, sound, light and narrative are carefully aligned. Korean culinary craft meets European classical and contemporary culture. Music, space, and storytelling woven into a single, unhurried sequence of courses.

The atmosphere is deliberately calm. No spectacle, no noise. Just the rhythm of plating, the resonance of broth in a black bowl, the fine crackle of porcelain, the quiet presence of other guests. It is an invitation to experience Korean culture not as decoration, but as a living, precise and generous practice.

From Vienna to the world

The first editions of JEONG WORLD are hosted in Vienna. A city with its own strong dining culture, imperial history and refined sense for ritual.

At every stop, the aim remains the same: to cultivate jeong – a lasting feeling of connection through food, care and shared time at the table. JEONG WORLD is the space where Korean fine dining and European culture sit down together, not to impress one another, but to listen.
